Why printable rather than an app
Apps are excellent at reminders and poor at thinking. Writing something by hand is slower, and the slowness is the feature — it is what makes you notice that you have moved the same task forward four times.
There is also a practical South African argument. A printed page works during loadshedding, does not need data, does not stop working when a subscription lapses, and cannot be lost when a phone is stolen.
What you get, and what it prints on
Every product is a PDF sized for plain A4, the paper actually sold here, rather than US Letter. Each one is designed to be legible in black and white, so a home printer running low on colour ink is not a problem, and nothing depends on a background fill that drinks toner.
You also get a hyperlinked version of each file for tablet use, so buying once covers both.
Printing at home or at a shop
At home, print single pages as you need them rather than whole planners — a half-used planner is more inviting than a thick unused one. For wall planners, A3 at a print shop is worth the few rand.
If you are printing at a shop, take the file on a memory stick. Emailed PDFs are often compressed, which softens the fine rules these layouts use.
Reprint without asking
Because they are digital, a page you ruin is not a page you have lost. Reprint the same week as often as you like, for as long as you like. This matters most for children’s reward charts and daily sheets, where the usual failure is running out of pages and never replacing the chart.
Undated, so you can start today
Nothing here has a year printed on it. You can start a weekly planner on a Wednesday in the middle of August, which is when most people actually decide to get organised — not on the first of January.
